At ThermoReLeaf we address the problem of crop yield losses due to heat exposure

, a global threat to food security that has worsened in recent years due to climate change.
Dead crops due to heat waves.
The Challenge

It is estimated that each degree-Celsius increase in global mean temperature reduces global yields of wheat by 6.0%, rice by 3.2%, maize by 7.4%, and soybean by 3.1%.

This represents a total global average loss of $42.4 billion per year.

Our Solution

ThermoReLeaf develops biological solutions that protect crops from extreme heat.

Most existing approaches act biologically too late.

Irreversible heat damage begins within plant cells long before visible symptoms appear. ThermoReLEAF targets the cellular mechanisms that trigger heat-induced cell death, helping crops maintain productivity under extreme temperatures.

Healthy crops.
Built for real-world agriculture
Biological formulation spray.
  • Works under extreme heat (>40°C)
  • Plug-and-play (seed & foliar)
Current technologies are not specifically developed to cope with severe heat
We are able to precisely disrupt the cell death mechanism triggered in response to heat without affecting plant growth or development
Our technologies are applicable across species with no changes to existing bioinput production or farming practices.
Impact
By providing heat-resistant crops, ThermoReLeaf is committed to restore crop profitability and to reduce the social impact of climate change.
Through technological innovation, ThermoReLeaf promotes economic growth, higher levels of productivity and sustainable agricultural practices.
No poverty Zero hunger Decent work, and economic growth Responsible consuption and production Climate action Life on land
Our Team

We discovered how plants die in response to heat.

We know how to save them.

Let’s do it together!
